Life Expectancy

    Max 80 years

Appearance:

  • Day: There is nothing distinguishable between the human and the Night Walker during the daytime.
  • Night: Undead appearance, rotting flesh, dark (sunken look) to eyes, short claws.

Starts with:

  • Under the effect of “Curse of Destruction” during daylight hours (double damage from everything, does not double healing effects)
  • May not use weapons (at night only)
  • Retractable short claws (at night only)
  • Alien metabolism

    Transformation

    The transformation from human to undead is very painful, the body of the player is physically dying.  The heart stops, the lungs stop functioning, the whole body instantly begins to rot.  The transformation takes as long as it takes for a player to apply/ remove his or her makeup.

    Weapon damage explanation:

    If you wish for your weapon profs to transfer to your claws when transformed, master profs must be purchased instead of normal ones.

    Alien Metabolism

    As these creatures are neither fully living nor fully undead, their metabolism is neither fully regular nor fully reversed.  During the daylight hours the metabolism acts as a normal humans (cured by curing, harmed by harming), but during the night it is essentially a reversed metabolism (harmed by curing, cured by harming).  During the night they are immune to alchemy, and take undead effectors as per greater undead.  Full effect from waylays and commands at all times.

Racials:

  • May purchase Ambidexterity
  • May purchase Natural Armor (max of  20 points)

Society

Viewed as outcasts and pariahs of society, Night Walkers have taken to living alone or in small villages.  There are some, the braver ones, who have tried to live in common human villages often with disastrous results.  Because of this they have developed a mix of jealousy and anger towards the other races that have what they cannot.

Mentality

Night Walkers feel that other races are cruel and small-minded.  They often keep to themselves, especially at night, though long to be in “normal” society.

Generally how Nightwalkers may feel towards other races:

    Caementum:  Children of stone, dim witted but good for a laugh.
    Calicantars:   Fun loving creatures who are accepting of others, however keep an eye on their crazy women.
    Dracons:   A stuck-up race with little use for others.
    Dúrla:  People of the wood, seen as friendly allies, if they will accept us.
    Elemental Kin:  Fearsome creations to be avoided for their uncertainty.
    Elves:   Like Dracons, they are stuck-up, but they are still envied.
    Humans:   Envied and respected.
    Kobolds:   An amusing creature, but untrustworthy and bothersome
    Patchworks:   Unknown to even them why they have been cursed so.
    Pixies:   Amusing and friendly, but don’t anger them.
    Shing Guai:   Horrible creatures that live off of others.  Haven’t been seen for countless years.
    Werewolves:  Dangerous and to be avoided.
