Mentality

These outcasts have all seen the worst nature of the people of Fenorra first hand. Viewed with fear and hatred by the people they once called friends and family these beings often view others with distrust.

Society

Despite their appearance the Patchworks are not created, they are born. A Patchwork can be born into any race and for the first few years of life appear normal to their family. Though as they grow older they begin to change. As their adolescence progresses they develop over growths of skin surrounding pieces of themselves that appear to be of other races of the world. This over growth appears like old stitch marks. This occurrence has been unexplainable for countless generations, and is still unknown as to why these deformations develop. By the time they reach 15 years of age their bodies mature, and the strange development stops. Seen as vile deformations by their own kin, either because of the disfigurement its self or because they are a reminder of the curse of Fenorra. Those that are not outright slaughtered are often shunned by their own families and are forced to fend for themselves.
The Patchworks of Fenorra are seen as a true monster. They are not distinguishable as a particular race. Their skin, even as they age, remains to appear as they have been stitched together.
The only true bond the Patchworks share is that they are all outcasts. Shunned from their homes and abandoned by their own kin. Most Patchworks choose to live alone to avoid contact with others. Though there have been a few small settlements of Patchworks who have chosen to band together, none have survived the conquest of the Twilight Elves.

Generally how Patchworks may feel towards other races:

    Caementum:   Large and powerful, but not the smartest.
    Calicantars:  
    • Satyrs:  Drunks and fools though don't tell them that unless you are looking for a fight.
    • Maenads:  Crazy women of the forests, similar to their male counter parts, enjoy a good fight.

    Dracons:   They sit in their kingdom clinging to the ways of old.
    Dúrla:   Beings of the wood, they have never done any of us harm.
    Elemental Kin:   They are far to busy fighting each other to bother with us.
    Elves:   Elegant and beautiful. Appreciate their beauty but do not hope to be amongst it.
    Humans:   Their outer forms have been fortunate enough to remain untouched by the curse that plagues Fenorra. Fear the monster that lies just beneath that facade.
    Kobolds:  Nothing but nuisances. Though not to be ignored.
    Night Walkers:   They know as well as we do the cruelty of others. Though they are given the gift of the daylight hours that we are denied.
    Pixies:   Whether due to pity or true kindness they tend to treat us well.
    Shing Guai:   As monstrous as ourselves. Though they choose not to believe it.
    Werewolves:   Dangerous and to be avoided.
